Her Love Lacks Thorns

A series exploring the bodily process of becoming through the transformation of ceramic vessels and flora-sculpted biobugs. Presented in abundant offering, this body of work straddles ornate and organic aesthetics, creating a parallel to the constraints of our own beings - the tension between rigid decorum and abounding desires. The sapphic narrative adorning the vases, alongside the presentation of the dining table format, play with notions of offering and sacrifice, seeking to answer the question, what can we become when we act in alignment with the embodied, erotic pursuit of our wantings?
